very practical for fishing, saves me carrying water i can just use as i need it
I got this specific product to help solve a corner case of summer hot weather hiking up above elevation of people when low chance of human viruses and so risk is only of bacteria and cysts - which this product filters. I got it on recommendation from a wild camper who used it for a year+ no ill effects. Not yet tried it myself so can't yet comment on efficacy.

If you want a Jetboil just to boil water, I'd say that this, the simplest Jetboil, is probably the best. I wish I'd bought it years ago. Freshair Junkie's price was unbeatable (again).
