Still testing these convertible mitten/fingerless gloves. Not sure they’re much, if any of an improvement over similar gloves, but I’m not used to mittens. They’re quite a thin softshell type of material with soft micro fleece type lining. I got them to try for less terrible weather and some Trekmates Matterhorn gloves for most of what we’re likely to get in NE Scotland this time of year. The mittens, for my circulation after a stroke, I think are better suited to cool rather than really cold weather. The magnetic fastening on the main bit is quite strong. I don’t find the webbing retainer on the thumbs as useful though. It feels as though another magnet would have been better. However, the thumb tip stsys out of the way quite well without using the retainer, so that’s how I use them. The loops on two finger tops are extremely useful for getting the mittens off in my opinion. Service from Fresh Air Junkie was fairly quick, especially near to Christmas, and the price of both the mitts and the gloves was competitive.
